MILIBACT 1.5GM INJECTION is a combination of Ceftriaxone and Sulbactam which belongs to the group of medicines called Antibiotics. It is used in the management of infections of the brain (meningitis), lungs, middle ear, abdomen and abdominal wall (peritonitis), urinary tract and kidneys, bones and joints, skin or soft tissues, blood, and heart.
MILIBACT 1.5GM INJECTION can also be used to manage specific sexually transmitted infections (gonorrhoea and syphilis), patients with low white blood cell counts (neutropenia) who have fever due to bacterial infection, Lyme disease (caused by tick bites) and to manage infections during surgery
MILIBACT 1.5GM INJECTION is not recommended for use in premature babies and new-born babies having jaundice. Before receiving MILIBACT 1.5GM INJECTION, inform your doctor if you have liver or kidney diseases, colitis, haemolytic anaemia, gall stones or kidney stones, upcoming surgeries, pancreatitis.
MILIBACT 1.5GM INJECTION should be used with caution in pregnancy and breast feeding. Contact your doctor before receiving. MILIBACT 1.5GM INJECTION is not recommended for use in premature babies. Contact your child’s doctor. MILIBACT 1.5GM INJECTION should be used with caution in elderly patients (aged above 65 years or above). Contact your doctor before receiving.
The most common side effects of receiving MILIBACT 1.5GM INJECTION are, diarrhoea, rash, itching, pain at the site of injection, inflammation of a vein caused by a blood clots. Contact your doctor if any of the symptoms worsen.
